Dance to the Music

Yes. Get up and dance to the music. Maybe Vittoria and Guillermo are gonna add a little guitar and make it easy to move your feet. You might even hear a cortina of “Ride, Sally Ride.”

You’ll have to come and see. Whatever you do, don’t  be Sly, OK?

Oh no! We’ve ruined your looks

Couldn’t help it. We have that really bad, truly inept photographer. We need to fire her. We know you don’t have multiple noses and several pairs of eyes, many more of which can be seen here, but we like seeing you so much we posted those pictures anyhow. Remember when you used to be really good looking…back in September?

We hope you’ll join us this Thursday at 9:15pm for another photo op. Our photographer really, really needs the practice.

Dance Till The Cows Come Home

The very beautiful Vittoria and the very debonair Guillermo spend their spare time touring the exciting, romantic, seductive tango hot spots of this world. They’ve just returned from their most recent trip to… Memphis.  Memphis??? Yup.

They always relate their travels to tango, of course. So we’re thinking the lesson this week is going to be just a little bit country. You know you’re curious.

Join us at 9:15 at the SPC –  $12 admission, $5 for students.

Y’all come to our hoedown now, hear?

It’s you again!

You’re here. You’re in our Picasa album and you’re probably all over Facebook.  It’s great to see you everywhere. But look closely and you’ll see the problem.  There’s too much sitting and standing, People!

We know you want to eat Nelly’s scrumptious food.  We know you want to talk to your friends. And you know we certainly want you to do all that. That’s the reason we have cortinas.  Oops, are we getting a little too single-minded about tango?

We hope you’ll come again Thursday at 9:15 to join us for an evening of, you know, dancing.  Practice makes perfect.

Come Dance With Me

Or, better yet, come dance with Lesley Mitchell, our instructor this evening. Lesley is a beautiful and accomplished tanguera, an insightful and incisive dance teacher, a thrilling DJ, a fine artist extraordinaire, and on top of it all, get this, master of her own domain. Really. You could look it up.

But wait. There’s more. There’s Kerry Kay.  You know her. You love her. You’ve danced some of your most romantic tandas to her music. She’ll be on hand weaving her magic and spinning her discs for us.

Lesson starts at 9:15 and the practica at 10:15, all at the Suzanne Patterson Center.

You really couldn’t have anything better to do this evening, could you?

Thank You

Viva’s first event, our practica last night, was a resounding success.  We owe it all to you. Thank you for coming out on a cold, rainy night to help us celebrate and to declare that you’re part of Princeton’s tango community.

We loved having you there.  We loved the energy in the room.  We loved seeing everyone have a good time.  Most of all we loved looking around at one point in the evening and seeing that no one was sitting.  Everybody was dancing, WOW!

Can we rinse and repeat next week?

Shall We Dance?

Tonight’s the night we re-Viva Tango in Princeton

Please join us for Viva’s opening celebration at 9:15 in the Suzanne Patterson Center.

There will be a lesson by Vittoria and Guillermo, music by our own fabulous DJ – Eileen Pall, a practica, light refreshments, dancers of all levels, and lots of truly nice people.

$12 for adults or $5 for students with ID.

You won’t want to miss this.  Neither will your friends.  Why don’t you tell them?
