Thursday, May 14th. Pablo Garcia Gomez and Iwona Ionescu are very popular and long-time instructors at Viva Tango and other tango events. After the lesson Pablo and Iwona will be available at the side of the dance floor to help any dancers wishing more assistance with the lesson.

Tonight’s DJ Gerardo (De Monserrat) Razumney grew up listening to tango in his native Buenos Aires. Although his generation was mostly dancing rock and roll, the essence of tango became a part of him. Gerardo likes tango from all the decades, not just the Golden Era, but also la Guardia Vieja of the late 20’s and 30’s, as well as the more modern creations from the 50’s, 60’s and contemporary ones.

8:15 pm: Milonga with DJ Gerardo (de Monserrat) Razumney.

Thursday, May 21st. Andres Amarilla & Olesya Kershaw will be guest instructors and will teach a lesson. Olesya started dancing in Kiev, Ukraine, in 2011, and has been attending tango festivals and milongas around the world since then. She has greatly enriched our tango community by her presence. She is known for her beautiful adornments, exceptional musicality and elegant lines. Andres is well-known to Viva Tango community as a teacher, performer, and DJ. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, he began dancing tango in 1987 at age 11.

Tonight’s DJ will be Ignacio Ondartz. His music selections are always heartwarming and will keep you dancing and wanting for more.

9:30 pm: Performance by Andres and Olesya.

Thursday, May 28th. Robin Thomas and Amelia Foss are our guests tonight. Amelia is an experienced dancer who first learned tango at Princeton University more than 13 years ago. Since then, she has danced throughout the world and has taught in tango communities throughout Europe. She is happy to be back in Princeton, now as part of the teaching team for the Princeton University Tango Club. 

Robin has been teaching and DJ-ing tango for 24 years, he taught tango in Princeton for 17 years and is known for growing the tango communities in several universities, especially in New York City. 

Robin Thomas will also be the DJ this evening for our dancing pleasure.
