VivaTango

September is packed with huge events. You will not want to miss any of these special nights. This coming Thursday we have European Tango stars to perform and teach for you; and then our live music milonga in September will include a vocalist. The human voice can add passion to music that instruments alone are not capable of.  Look forward to a very passionate milonga. September ends with another performance and guest instuctor. Keep reading to see the details of the September Stars and learn about an upcoming six-week Tango series.

September 15th International Guest Instructors R&G Tano join us this week. They are well known instructors and performers. Their passion is to deepen the technical evolution of the tango dance and to teach improvisation methods. They will teach improvisation Thursday with a lesson titled “Tools and Exercises to Improve your Possibilities on the Dance Floor”. This is the essential knowledge you need to manage and create your own Tango. They are creators and choreographers for the Tango stage show “Which Tango Are You” that is performing on European stages. They organize Tango events in Europe. They regularly tour Europe, the United States and China. There will be a lesson and milonga. Lesson starts at 7 PM followed by the milonga at 8:15 and a performance about 10 PM. Lesson $15, Milonga $15 or Both $20. Dancers must be fully vaccinated. Facemasks are encouraged but optional. EVENT LINK

September 22th Claudio Morsella plays live music for your dancing pleasure. He will be accompanied by vocalist Melissa Wrolstad. We heard glowing reviews of these musicians from DimOn the Tango DJ, who will play tandas between live sets. DimOn plays wonderful tandas that capture the smoothness and emotion of Tango. ARGENTINE TANGO BASIS CLASS

This is a six-week class for beginners, dancers who want to improve their basic skills and dancers who want to learn the opposite role. It will be taught by Pablo Garcia Gomez and Iwona Ionescu on the same dance floor VivaTango uses. The classes are sponsored by the Princeton Adult School on Tuesdays. Click Here  for details of dates, times and cost.

SAFETY

Our events require showing proof of full vaccination. You only have to show proof on your first visit. We also remind dancers that they should not come if they have any symptoms or have been exposed to people who have Covid. Masks are recommended, but optional. For dancers who are not able to be vaccinated, they will be admitted if they have had a negative result from a PCR test in the past 72 hours or an antigen quick test in the past 24 hours.

WATER

We urge dancers to bring their water bottle from home. We no longer have access to a refrigerator to cool water before events. There is a chilled water fountain next to the bathroom to refill your water bottles with chilled water. We will continue to provided bottled water for dancers, but it is room temperature.
