Maurizio Najt, Piano, is a graduate of the Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Buenos Aires. He performed with “Amigos del Tango”; Forever Tango Orchestra; New York Tango Trio and other groups. Maurizio has performed in Lincoln Center Alice Tully Hall, Winter Garden, Philadelphia Kimmel Center, and the Argentine Embassy in Washington DC and Tokyo. He co-produced and directed the show “Crónicas de Buenos Aires”, a multimedia and educational review of the history of argentine tango in music and dance.

Javier Sanchez – Bandoneón, has toured the world with Orquesta Típica, Tango Pasión, Tango Viaje al Sentimiento, Pedro Chemes Group, Tango Emotión, Tanguera and Quinteto Típico Buenos Aires. Javier has performed in Buenos Aires tango shows including Café Tortoni, Chiquin Buenos Aires, Pigmalión Tango, El Viejo Almacén, Esquina de Carlos Gardel, Tango Porteño, Piazzolla Tango. Javier has numerous recordings.

Michael Nadtochi has been a professional dancer for more than two decades. His vast dance experience consists of performing, competing, choreographing and educating dancers and professionals all over the world.  For the past 14 years Michael focused entirely on performing and teaching the art of Argentine Tango. He has traveled the world, took part in major international tango festivals where he taught and performed at some of the most spectacular venues. Germany, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Cyprus, Malaysia, Canada, Scotland are among the countries that he visited as special guests and performing artist. He has taught and performed in the major tango festivals in the USA, and he has been one of the dancers at Malbec & Tango House NYC –  the first authentic nightly Argentine Tango show produced in USA.

Pablo and Iwona are teaching a new intermediate level tango course from 7 to 8 PM prior to the regular VivaTango event. Fee: $120 (whole course)

NEW VivaTango Sunday Brunch – 4th Sundays 11 to 3 in Princeton

It is with great pleasure that VivaTango announces the start of Sunday Good Time Milonga at the same wonderful dance floor used for VivaTango’s Thursday Milongas (45 Stockton, Princeton). Brunch, music by popular DJs and dance hosts will be provided for your pleasure. Brunch will feature a healthy menu. The Good Time Milonga will occur on every 4th Sunday from 11 to 3pm., starting April 28. We hope to see you and all your VivaTango friends at this new event.

This week Iwona and Pablo will teach a short lesson on “Enrosques for Two: Mastering one of the nicest steps in Tango”

A milonga will follow the lesson. Peace will DJ the milonga with great tandas for dancing.

Iwona and Pablo will provide a guided practica session off to the side of the milonga

for dancers wanting some additional help in mastering the lesson.

This course is an independent workshop for anyone who would like to move beyond their basic tango skills. This course teaches transitions from fundamental steps to more complex movements and sequences. No partner is required. Cost is $160. Modern music has rap artists, and Tango has Wrap Artists. This week learn about “Sweet and Gentle Wraps”. Wraps are the Kodak moment in a Tango dance. The lesson will teach how to be a wrapper or wrapee. A milonga Djed by Dmitri will follow the lesson. Iwona and Pablo will provide a guided practica after the lesson for those dancers wanting help in mastering the lesson.

Pablo, who is originally from the suburbs of Buenos Aires, has studied tango with various master teachers in his home country and in the United States. Iwona explored a few other forms of dance before taking up tango, which she has studied in depth and practiced locally. Pablo and Iwona teach the Argentine tango classes at Princeton Adult School and they teach regularly at Viva Tango in Princeton, where they are artists in residence.

Il Faut Tango Duo are a tango guitar duo from Buenos Aires , Argentina, who dazzle and delight audiences worldwide while seeking to enrich dancers’ musicality in Tango. Their concerts offer a beautiful selection of the most representative Tangos, Waltzes, and Milongas from the 20th century until now. Instrumental and sung songs adapted for all kinds of venues .

Il Faut Tango Duo (Flavio Romanelli & Marcos Martignano) are professional musicians from Buenos Aires, Argentina. They has been sponsored by the National Tango Academy of Argentina and declared “Cultural Interest” by the Ministry of Culture of Argentina. As part of their fifth international tour (second time in USA), they will be presenting songs from their latest album “Avanti”.

Flavio Romanelli

Composer, arranger, guitarist and music teacher. Graduated from the “School of Music of Buenos Aires” (2006), there he joined the Tango Orchestra of that institution. He continued his studies at the “National Academy of Tango” (2009) with the great Maestro Anibal Arias. He was part of the 3rd Campus of Contemporary Guitar, dictated jointly by important teachers as Quique Sinesi and Carlos Moscardini among others. Currently he is studying a degree in Music Composition at the National University of Arts (Argentina). He has toured throughout Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

 

 

Marcos Martignano

Composer, arranger, guitar player. Graduated from the Conservatory of Chascomús (Buenos Aires), he completed studies with Eduardo Pertusi. He continued his studies at the “National Academy of Tango” (2009) with the great Maestro Anibal Arias. He has participated in several seminars and master classes both in Brazil and Uruguay in 2007 and 2008. He studied harmony and composition in SADAIC (Buenos Aires) by Maestro Juan Carlos Cirigliano between 2012 and 2014. In recent years, he has toured throughout the European continent.

 

 

There are two events:

First there is a Workshop on Tango Music. This workshop is held in a secret garden in Princeton. This workshop explains the fundamental parameters of Tango music and gives you the tools to take them to your dance. Strong and weak beat, the variation, endings with rallentandos, are some of the important topics.
