Step through the doors at 7:00 PM into a warm, low-lit ambiance as DJ Urszula Abolik spins an irresistible mix that will pull you straight onto the floor. Whether you’re coming to lose yourself in the rhythm, connect with wonderful dancers, or simply soak in the vibrant atmosphere, this is four non-stop hours of pure tango magic you won’t want to miss.

Thursday, September 24^th.  JUST-DANCE Milonga.

Come early, leave late and enjoy a casual milonga evening with your friends at Viva Tango. Replenish your energy with some great snacks from our refreshments table. And of course, super-DJ Urszula Abolik will play her captivating tandas and cortinas all evening long. No lesson, no performance, no live music – Just Dance!

7:00 pm: Milonga hosted by DJ Urszula.

Thursday, October 1st. Tango legends Mónica Romero and Omar Ocampo (Los Ocampo) will teach and perform at Viva Tango tonight. They have performed on the most prestigious world stages for over 20 years, both with their own dance company, Tango Bravo, and with other shows. Now they divide their time between teaching at their schools around the world, touring widely and performing at prestigious international venues. They are also official judges at the annual International Tango Championship in Argentina. Tonight’s DJ DimOn will play his excellent tandas of uplifting and eclectic tango music for our dancing pleasure after the lesson.


7:00 pm: Lesson with Omar and Monica.
8:15 pm: Milonga with DJ DimOn.
9:30 pm: Performance by Los Ocampo – Omar & Monica.
Admission: $20.

Thursday, October 8th. Pablo Garcia Gomez and Iwona Ionescu are very popular instructors at Viva Tango and many other tango events. Their lessons are always clear and practical, and can be applied almost immediately in the milonga following the lesson. After the lesson Pablo and Iwona will be available at the side of the dance floor to help any dancers wishing more assistance with the lesson. Tonight’s DJ Svetlana Howells will spin her whimsical tandas after the lesson. She has graced us several times in the past and was always well received by our dancers.


7:00 pm: Lesson with Pablo & Iwona.
8:15 pm: Milonga with DJ Svetlana.
Admission: $20.

TABLES
We’ve added tables to our seating area to make meeting fellow dancers easy and inviting! Spot an empty chair? Simply ask those sitting nearby if it’s open and make it your base for the night. You are welcome to bring a beverage of your choice to enjoy (no hard liquor allowed).

MILONGA DIRECTIONS
VivaTango is located at 45 Stockton Street, Princeton New Jersey. There is a well-lit, off-street parking lot at the venue. The large dance floor is in the smaller of the two buildings. The venue is easily accessed by rail from NYC and Philly. Just get a ticket to Princeton (not Princeton Junction. You get off the train at Princeton Junction and take the connecting shuttle train to Princeton.) The venue is 8 blocks from the Princeton Train Station with a lovely walk through the Princeton University Campus (0.8 mi.) Princeton is a dining center in NJ – consider having dinner before Tango. MAP

WATER
We urge dancers to bring their water bottle from home to cut down on single use bottles. There is a chilled water fountain and a cold/hot water dispenser that you can use to refill your water bottle or get a drink to keep you hydrated.

VOLUNTEERS MAKE THESE EVENTS HAPPEN
Every event has a pre-party hosted by Jon where the chairs and lights are put in place. And there is an after party hosted by Warren where everything is put away again. and an after-party. Sylvie needs a few additional volunteers for these parties. It does not have to be every week, Sylvie can make it fit your schedule. Party members get free admission.
