THURSDAY TANGO — This week Iwona and Pablo will teach ” Soltadas to Impress”. These turns add flare to a Tango. All you Salsa and Swing dancers must come to see how these turns are applied to Tango.
A milonga will follow the lesson. Iwona and Pablo will provide a guided practica after the lesson for dancers wanting some help in mastering the lesson đź‘ đź‘

Nick Franco, became enamored with the passion of tango music during his graduate school days at the University of Miami in FLA.  There, he lived in an apartment next to “portenos”, a couple from Buenos Aires, who played tango tapes whenever they were home.  Eventually, he began playing tangos for them.  Over the past ten years, Nick has taken advantage of every opportunity to play the music for dancers and to dance himself at venues in the Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia/ New Jersey areas.

Nick has performed as a soloist and in five to fifteen piece orchestras at private homes and clubs, at public venues, and on cruise ships throughout New England, from Palm Beach to Miami Beach, Fla , in the Baltimore/ Washington, DC area  and in Pennsylvania.

Maurizio Najt, Piano, is a graduate of the Conservatorio Nacional de MĂşsica in Buenos Aires. He performed Forever Tango Orchestra; Lincoln Center Plaza, Alice Tully Hall, Winter Garden, and the Argentine Embassy in Washington DC and Tokyo.

Javier Sanchez, Bandoneon, has toured the world and performed in Buenos Aires tango shows including Café Tortoni, Chiquin Buenos Aires, Pigmalión Tango, Piazzolla Tango. Javier has numerous recordings.

John DeCeasar, Bass, has performed Argentine Tango at many milongas, concerts and cultural events has performed with many tango contemporaries like Hector del Curto, Fernando Otero and Tito Castro.

This course is an independent workshop for anyone who would like to move beyond their basic tango skills. This course teaches transitions from fundamental steps to more complex movements and sequences. No partner is required. Cost is $160. Michael Nadtochi has been a professional dancer for more than two decades. His vast dance experience consists of performing, competing, choreographing and educating dancers and professionals all over the world.  For the past 14 years Michael focused entirely on performing and teaching the art of Argentine Tango. He has traveled the world, took part in major international tango festivals where he taught and performed at some of the most spectacular venues. Germany, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Cyprus, Malaysia, Canada, Scotland are among the countries that he visited as special guests and performing artist. He has taught and performed in the major tango festivals in the USA, and he has been one of the dancers at Malbec & Tango House NYC –  the first authentic nightly Argentine Tango show produced in USA.

This week have your Tango dancing revived by Stem Step Therapy. Stem steps are steps that allow dancers to generate other steps and adornments of different levels of complexity. They are great to: better organize and plan dancers’ own Learning and practice; add variety and complexity to the dance in a clear and memorable way; and adjust movements to what works best for a given couple.

 

A milonga DJed by Kerry Kay will follow the lesson.

 

Iwona and Pablo will provide a guided practica after the lesson for dancers wanting some help in mastering the lesson.
