Viva Tango Inc. is going back to its regular schedule with its resident Tango artists, the lovely Pablo Garcia Gomez and Iwona Ionescu.
Thursday, January 9th.
8-8:30 all level class (beginners are welcome).
8:30 – 9:30 Intermediate. 9:30 – Midnight, practica, food, and socializing. No partners are necessary. Princeton Senior Resource Center, 45 Stockton St., Princeton. $15.

Today, Thursday, December 12, Viva Tango Inc. will have our resident Argentine Tango teachers, Iwona Ionescu and Pablo Garcia Gomez, who will teach and DJ.

Please join us. Doors open at 8 PM. At 8:30 we’ll have 1 hour intermediate level class, and then practica, food and socializing. No partner is necessary for $12. Suzanne Patterson Center, 45 Stockton St., Princeton, NJ.

Viva Tango Inc. welcomes Richard Council (via Vittoria and Guillermo of Argen Tango) is back on Thursday, December 5th. Richard is a fantastic teacher and an accomplished dancer and we are excited for his return. Please join us for this Tango treat. 8-9 PM Intermediate Lesson 9-11:30 Practica Food, socializing, no partner necessary, $12. At Suzanne Paterson Center.

Richard Council

Richard taught and performed on stage and television throughout the United States and abroad. In 2003 he, with his former partner Colette Hebert, won the US IDO Argentine Tango Championships in Miami, Florida. They were finalists in the Tango Salon division and semi-finalists in the Stage Performance division of the World Championships held in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2005. This week his intermediate lesson at 8:30pm will focus on Axis, Rotation and Transition. In this class we will explore an option for changing direction and using this change to accent transitions into other movements for both roles.

Today, Thursday, Viva Tango Inc. starts it’s 3 workshop series for beginners , which will start at 7 PM, before its regular practica.

Thursday 11/7 – 7-8:15 PM Beginner Workshop #1 Cost $12.
Intermediate class 8:30 – 9:30 and practica, food and socializing until 11:30 cost $12 (Only $8 for those who paid for the Beginner Workshop).

Same format will follow on 11/14 and 11/21 for workshop #2 and #3.

on Sunday, 11/24, 2-5 PM we will have a live music Milonga to celebrate with the beginners the end of their class, with the Prince Tango Trio.

Viva Tango Inc. welcomes back its resident Tango artists Iwona Ionescu and Pablo Garcia Gomez, who will teach and DJ, Thursday, Oct. 17th.

8 PM an all level Lesson (beginners are welcome) until 8:30 PM followed by Intermediate level class until 9:30, Practica, food and socializing till 11:45. No partner necessary.  See you on the beautiful wood floor of Suzanne Patterson Center, at 45 Stockton St., Princeton, NJ. $12.

Viva Tango wishes Dennis Matthies happy dancing in Florida! This Thursday will be his last dancing at Viva until next spring. He is relocating to Sarasota for the winter to be near his daughter and grandchildren. He promises to remain in contact with all of us through the VivaTango Inc. web page and Facebook.

Viva Tango Inc. is excited to host Tango Salon World Champions:

Clarissa Sanchez and John Erban

Thursday, October 3rd.

John and Clarissa tied for first place in the 2011 World Tango Salon Championship, and also that year won fifth place in the world championship for stage tango. John and Clarissa have been dancing together in the most renowned tango shows in Buenos Aires as: “Tango Porteno”, “Esquina Carlos Gardel”, “Madero Tango” and “Rojo Tango” in the Faena Hotel.

8:00 – 8:30 All level class. Take advantage of this class which solidifies the basics and/or a good warm up for the 2nd class.

Come and chill out at Viva Tango Inc. today. The Air Conditioning is on and working great. There is nothing more exciting in all of New Jersey than what you will have at Viva this Thursday. Don’t miss the lesson on enrosques and lapices taught by Andres Bravo Y Carolina Jaurena, enjoy dancing all evening after the lesson, and eat eat eat the great food between.

Chulo and Michelle will teach intermediate level Traditional Milonga Step  Sequences for crowded dance floor and then will have a PERFORMANCE.

Viva Tango Inc. holds its events at Princeton Senior Resource Center (aka Suzanne Patterson), in Princeton, NJ, for $12, including light supper, practica till midnight, no partner is necessary.

Also this Thursday, come and see the art work of our own tanguera, Judy Moore. Judy had three of her pictures selected by the Susan Paterson Center to hang in their Spring Art Show. These works are on display. Come this Thursday to see this art show and talk with the artist.

Please plan to attend, which will enable all of us to practice those sequences in a real crowded floor till midnight.

Viva Tango Inc. presents Tonight, Thursday, April 11th; Vittoria Natale and Guillermo Elkouss:

  • Two lessons; At 7:15 PM All levels class: Fundamentals of tango walk, cadencia, musicality, men’s and woman’s technique applied to selected movements. At 8:30 PM Intermediate class teaching figures and applied technique in the villa Urquiza style of tango from the 1950’s.
  • Practica starting at 9:30 PM
