Viva Tango Inc. welcomes Richard Council (via Vittoria and Guillermo of Argen Tango) is back on Thursday, December 5th. Richard taught and performed on stage and television throughout the United States and abroad. In 2003 he, with his former partner Colette Hebert, won the US IDO Argentine Tango Championships in Miami, Florida. They were finalists in the Tango Salon division and semi-finalists in the Stage Performance division of the World Championships held in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2005. This week his intermediate lesson at 8:30pm will focus on Axis, Rotation and Transition. In this class we will explore an option for changing direction and using this change to accent transitions into other movements for both roles.
