Viva Tango Inc. is excited to host, Thursday, October 3rd, the
2011 Tango Salon World Champions:

Clarissa Sanchez and John Erban

Please do not miss John and Clarissa who not only tied for first place in the 2011 World Tango Salon Championship, but also that year achieved fifth place in the world championship for stage tango.
ClarisaYJohn John and Clarissa have danced together in the most renowned tango shows in Buenos Aires as: “Tango Porteno”, “Esquina Carlos Gardel”, “Madero Tango” and “Rojo Tango” in the Faena Hotel.

8-8:30 PM all level class (beginners welcome)
8:30-9:30 intermediate class.

John and Clarissa tied for first place in the 2011 World Tango Salon Championship, and also that year won fifth place in the world championship for stage tango. Chulo and Michelle will teach intermediate level Traditional Milonga Step  Sequences for crowded dance floor and then will have a PERFORMANCE.

Viva Tango Inc. holds its events at Princeton Senior Resource Center (aka Suzanne Patterson), in Princeton, NJ, for $12, including light supper, practica till midnight, no partner is necessary.

Also this Thursday, come and see the art work of our own tanguera, Judy Moore. Judy had three of her pictures selected by the Susan Paterson Center to hang in their Spring Art Show. These works are on display. Come this Thursday to see this art show and talk with the artist.

Please plan to attend, which will enable all of us to practice those sequences in a real crowded floor till midnight.

  • Two lessons; At 7:15 PM All levels class: Fundamentals of tango walk, cadencia, musicality, men’s and woman’s technique applied to selected movements. At 8:30 PM Intermediate class teaching figures and applied technique in the villa Urquiza style of tango from the 1950’s.
  • Practica starting at 9:30 PM
  • Performance by Vittoria and Guillermo at 10:30 PM – DON’T MISS THIS

Please join us at Suzanne Patterson Building, 45 Stockton St. NJ.

Cost is $12 (add $8 for both classes). Including practica, performance, light supper and friendship.

Viva Tango Inc.’s Milonga El Poema, last Saturday was an amazing success. So much so that we felt bad to stop it at midnight.

Please attend our event this coming Thursday, April 4th (wow, it’s already April), featuring Vittoria Natalle and Guillermo Elkouss, with 2 classes: Basics at 7:15 PM, Intermediate 8:30 PM. 1 class $12, 2 classes $20, and practica.

If you ever wished to see Dancing with the Stars live in person, or travel to Buenos Aires then you do not want to miss seeing Hugo Mastrolorenzo and Angeles Chanaha performance of Argentine Tango. The performance will take place at Viva Tango NJ on February 21 at the Susan Paterson Center in Princeton NJ. Doors will open at 8 PM and the performance will start at 8:30 PM. Food will be served after the performance. A lesson and open dancing will follow the refreshments.  Everyone is invited to participate in or watch the lesson and dancing. Warm Up For Funny Valentine Milonga

After last Thursday’s lesson with Vittoria Natale and Steve Mason here what is coming our way. Fight the cold with a warm up to Valentine’s Day milonga and more:

  • On January 31st and February 7th, we’ll have Vittoria and Guillermo (welcome back)

  • February 14th is our FUNNY VALENTINE MILONGA (It’s OK to start sending us love notes now 🙂

  • Angeles Chanaha and Hugo Mastrolorenzo (straight from Argentina) will hold the floor from February 21st through March 7th

  • We got a good venue for a Saturday milonga on March 30th, thanks to the nice folks at CJDS. Stay tune for a theme or suggest one.

Viva Tango is sending its condolences to our own; Danelle Knapp for the passing of her mother this Sunday.
