Vittoria and Guillermo will be teaching one of their favorite moves tonight, combining basic foundations with structure. If you’re curious about what that might be, come tonight for the surprise reveal.

The tango numbering system stops at 8. Well, OK, there are Nueve Puntos but that’s a song, not a dance step. For dance steps we’ve only got ochos and the creative ways Vittoria and Guillermo can find to get into and out of them. They’ll be doing more of that this Thursday at 8.

Otherwise those pictures are always going to be blurry. So here’s what we want you to do; Take three tango steps, pause for the photo op. Three tango steps, pauuuuuse for the photo op. You know how important pauses are in tango. Now you know the reason for it.

Deserves another, of course. Vittoria and Guillermo have just that in mind for tonight’s lesson – how to go from an apparently simple ocho into a molinete (or giro.) This will turn your head and hopefully your feet, too

Until you see what Kelly Ray has to say about suspensions. He was just warming up to the subject during his last lesson when we ran out of time. So he left us in (groan) suspense, promising more this week.
You won’t want to miss this. That’s 8 o’clock tonight at the Suzanne Patterson Center, where the air conditioning is quite good. Admission $12 or $5 for students with ID.

Of a terrific series of lessons on technique by Lesley Mitchell and Kelly Ray. It’s lovely to know how to tango, but better still to get your movements exactly right, lending grace and elegance to your dance. If you’d like your tango to be comme il faut, join us at SPC Thursday at 8 for Lesley’s next class.
That takes care of the middle of the week, but we’re not done with you yet. We want to see you on the weekend too. Our Milonga Brava is this Saturday, June 30 at All Saints Church. It features the very accomplished composer, teacher and pianist Maurizio Najt.
If you want to be right in the middle of things this weekend, you’ve simply got to come!
