Viva Tango Inc. presents Tonight, Thursday, April 11th; Vittoria Natale and Guillermo Elkouss:

  • Two lessons; At 7:15 PM All levels class: Fundamentals of tango walk, cadencia, musicality, men’s and woman’s technique applied to selected movements. At 8:30 PM Intermediate class teaching figures and applied technique in the villa Urquiza style of tango from the 1950’s.
  • Practica starting at 9:30 PM

Viva Tango Inc.’s Milonga El Poema, last Saturday was an amazing success. So much so that we felt bad to stop it at midnight.

Please attend our event this coming Thursday, April 4th (wow, it’s already April), featuring Vittoria Natalle and Guillermo Elkouss, with 2 classes: Basics at 7:15 PM, Intermediate 8:30 PM. 1 class $12, 2 classes $20, and practica.

Viva Tango Inc. is taking the challenge of Argentine Tango dance, up a notch and adding a Tango themed art work for you to enjoy.

All events are at Suzanne Patterson Center,  45 Stockton Street, Princeton NJ.

Today, Thursday, 3/28, Lesley Mitchell and Kelly Ray, will teach the 3rd series of Beginners (syncopations and gyro/turns) @ 7:15 PM and then @ 8:15 PM, Milonga (double time and traspie), with Lesley’s Tango themed art work. Doors will be open at 7 PM for the art show, after the classes ($12 one class/$22 both), practica to midnight. .

Saturday March 30th, Live Music MILONGA EL POEMA/Art Show:            Doors open at 7 PM; Art Show 7 to 8 PM; Lesley DJing among three live music sets of 30 min. each; 9:15; 10:15; 11:15 PM, by 2 of URBAN TANGO TRIO; Machiko Ozawa(violin) and  Octavio Brunetti(piano). All for $15.

Today, Thursday, Viva Tango Inc. in Princeton NJ, will have week #2 series with Lesley Mitchell:

At 7:15 PM Beginners – Backward ochos, basic floor craft, walks to cross

At 8:15 PM MILONGA – Tango vocabulary that works in Milonga

A practica, and light supper will follow until midnight. 1 class $12 and $10 more for both classes. If you missed week #1, not to worry, you’ll fit in.

Viva Tango Inc. prepared an incredible value for you, so please bear with us as we lay down our exciting program just in time for March Madness:

Lesley Mitchell will be teaching a 3 week BEGINNERS TANGO series AND a 3 week MILONGA (the dance) series for Viva Tango Inc., in Princeton NJ for the next 2 Thursdays, joined by Kelly Ray for a 3rd Thursday. On Thursday, March 28, Lesley will also exhibit her tango and dance themed paintings and works on paper.

At 7:15 PM Lesley will be teaching a 3 week beginner series titles Beginners I & II or Beginners/Post Beginners. The level will include those who have already had some beginner instruction and first time beginners. Lesley will show everyone the basics but include more advanced variations & refinements for the more advanced beginners. Class #1 Walks, posture, lead & follow, forward ochos; Class #2 Backward ochos, basic floor craft, walks to cross; Class #3 Syncopations and giros (turns)

At 8:15 PM Lesley will teach a three week series of Milonga. The class will be aimed at dancers with intermediate tango skills. The lessons will include: Week 1 Milonga building blocks & musicality; Week 2 Tango vocabulary that works in Milonga; Week 3 Double time and milonga traspie

A practica will follow with dancing until midnight.

You may attend 1 class for $12 and addition of $10 for the 2nd class.
