Workshop Topic: The phrase as a musical guide: Sequencing movements within phrases.
Pablo Garcia Gomez and Iwona Ionescu will be teaching a short lesson followed by a guided practica where you can polish the lesson’s steps or learn how to embellish the lesson steps.
Milonga with music by Sorawis Peace Sangtawesin. Peace is a recent PhD from Princeton, tango dancer and popular DJ. Dance to the passionate sounds of classical tango.
Cost $15 and $5 for students

Dennis is the heart and the steam engine of the Viva Tango events. He is incessantly working on bringing the best teachers and performers to the Viva Tango circle, organizing logistics and negotiating prices, dates, schedules and doing it purely from the love of the dance and the community. Emilio Solla is a Grammy Nominated Argentina born and NY based pianist & composer. Frequent performer at the Zink Bar in NYC and has performed at Lincoln Center. His first band, Apertura, was praised by Astor Piazzolla himself as one of the most interesting new sounds in the Buenos Aires scene in 1986.
toured the USA performing with Alejandro Ziegler Quartet and has played in New York City with musicians such as Frank Perowsky, Raul Jaurena, Emilio Solla, Kayo Hiraki, among others.
