Heartbeat of a Song – Rediscovering Tango Musicality
In this workshop participants will learn an easy-to-use, new approach to improve their musicality skills. Dancers will learn how to meaningfully connect to the music and their partners
learn about the structure of tango songs
confidently plan steps and sequences based on phrases and parts of songs
lead with clarity and follow with confidence, enjoying embellishing
dance to various rhythms (simple, double, half time, syncopation, and off-beat)
dance to different melodies
apply musicality to different songs and styles
1-2 PM: Open practica, registration, and warm up
2-4 PM: Musicality Workshop
4-5 PM: Guided musicality practica
