After introducing the basics of Bicicletas & working on transitions between close embrace and open embrace, Antón & Jody will delve deeper into their exploration of Bicicletas: their origin and history will be discussed and their many variations will be taught. Live music will include bandoneónist Rodolfo Zanetti who was born in Mendoza, Argentina; was named the Musical Director of Piazzolla’s “operita” Maria de Buenos Aires; performed for the Embassy of Argentina; US tour included performances in New York, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.; This past April he performed at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall. Pianist Maurizio Najt, who played keyboards for the Forever Tango Orchestra; performed at numerous venues including Lincoln Center Plaza, Alice Tully Hall, Winter Garden, El Museo del Barrio in NYC, and the Argentine Embassy in DC and Tokyo; composed the soundtrack for various independent film productions and documentaries. Flautist Wendy Zoffer whose jazz group has performed at Grounds for Sculpture and Princeton University Events, The Governor’s Mansion, and numerous hotels, clubs, and venues in the New Jersey/New York/Philadelphia metropolitan areas. Ms. Zoffer is excited about playing Tango since dancing Tango is one of her favorite passions. She most recently performed Tango at Why Not Café on Orchard Street (Manhattan).
