Maurizio Najt, Piano, is a graduate of the Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Buenos Aires. He performed with “Amigos del Tango”; Forever Tango Orchestra; New York Tango Trio and other groups. Maurizio has performed in Lincoln Center Alice Tully Hall, Winter Garden, Philadelphia Kimmel Center, and the Argentine Embassy in Washington DC and Tokyo. ”

 

 

Javier Sanchez – Bandoneón, has toured the world with Orquesta Típica, Tango Pasión, Tango Viaje al Sentimiento, Pedro Chemes Group, and Tango Emotión. He has performed in Buenos Aires tango shows at Café Tortoni, Chiquin Buenos Aires, Pigmalión Tango, Piazzolla Tango. Javier has numerous recordings. ”

John DeCeasar – Bass, studied with the great bassist/ composer/ arranger, Pablo Aslan. John DeCesare has performed Argentine Tango at many milongas, concerts and cultural events has performed with many tango contemporaries like Hector del Curto, Fernando Otero and Tito Castro.

Variations of ocho w/sacadas and ladie’s adornments

Paulita and Michael met at a famous Milonga in Buenos Aires in December 2017. After just a few tandas together, their chemistry on the dance floor was so remarkably unique, that a creative and dynamic partnership was born. They will be performing and teaching in tango communities across the globe – UK, Germany, Latvia, Russia, Argentina and Italy.

 Michael Nadtochi introduces Paulita to VivaTango dancers. Paulita is a master of elegant tango. Come see them in performance in Princeton. The workshop on “Variations of ocho w/sacadas and ladie’s adornments” will feature Paulita’s special skills.

Il Faut Tango Duo

Il Faut Tango Duo are a tango guitar duo from Buenos Aires , Argentina, who dazzle and delight audiences worldwide while seeking to enrich dancers’ musicality in Tango. Their concerts offer a beautiful selection of the most representative Tangos, Waltzes, and Milongas from the 20th century until now. Instrumental and sung songs adapted for all kinds of venues .

Il Faut Tango Duo (Flavio Romanelli & Marcos Martignano) are professional musicians from Buenos Aires, Argentina. They has been sponsored by the National Tango Academy of Argentina and declared “Cultural Interest” by the Ministry of Culture of Argentina. As part of their fifth international tour (second time in USA), they will be presenting songs from their latest album “Avanti”.

Flavio Romanelli

Composer, arranger, guitarist and music teacher. Graduated from the “School of Music of Buenos Aires” (2006), there he joined the Tango Orchestra of that institution. He continued his studies at the “National Academy of Tango” (2009) with the great Maestro Anibal Arias. He was part of the 3rd Campus of Contemporary Guitar, dictated jointly by important teachers as Quique Sinesi and Carlos Moscardini among others. Currently he is studying a degree in Music Composition at the National University of Arts (Argentina). He has toured throughout Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

 

 

Marcos Martignano

Composer, arranger, guitar player. Graduated from the Conservatory of Chascomús (Buenos Aires), he completed studies with Eduardo Pertusi. He continued his studies at the “National Academy of Tango” (2009) with the great Maestro Anibal Arias. He has participated in several seminars and master classes both in Brazil and Uruguay in 2007 and 2008. He studied harmony and composition in SADAIC (Buenos Aires) by Maestro Juan Carlos Cirigliano between 2012 and 2014. In recent years, he has toured throughout the European continent.

 

 

There are two events:

First there is a Workshop on Tango Music. This workshop is held in a secret garden in Princeton. This workshop explains the fundamental parameters of Tango music and gives you the tools to take them to your dance. Strong and weak beat, the variation, endings with rallentandos, are some of the important topics. The drama of the Pause

The drama of the Pause will be the subject of this week’s lesson. Learn when and how to make dramatic pauses. The pause is the easiest step to do, but requires understanding how to use it to maximum effect. Learn about Pausing versus Moving

Michael Nadtochi has been a professional dancer for more than two decades. His vast dance experience consists of performing, competing, choreographing and educating dancers and professionals all over the world. For the past 14 years Michael focused entirely on performing and teaching the art of Argentine Tango. He has traveled the world, took part in major international tango festivals where he taught and performed at some of the most spectacular venues. Germany, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Cyprus, Malaysia, Canada, Scotland are among the countries that he visited as special guests and performing artist. He has taught and performed in the major tango festivals in the USA, and he has been one of the dancers at Malbec & Tango House NYC – the first authentic nightly Argentine Tango show produced in USA.

Pablo, who is originally from the suburbs of Buenos Aires, has studied tango with various master teachers in his home country and in the United States. Iwona explored a few other forms of dance before taking up tango, which she has studied in depth and practiced locally. Pablo and Iwona teach the Argentine tango classes at Princeton Adult School and they teach regularly at Viva Tango in Princeton, where they are artists in residence.

Princeton Summer Tango Festival week 2 features the talented Rocio De Los Santos & Luciano Capparelli

Workshop and Performance

Cost $20

Rocio De Los Santos & Luciano Capparelli have been partnered as Argentine Tango performers since 2000, when they participated in Buenos Aires Youth Champions competition. Since then they have done numerous world tours as a team, participated in many tango shows. They also have danced in the best Buenos Aires shows. The New York Times November 2006 review of the Tango Fire Show performance reported : “No couple, however, was as beautifully lavish as Luciano Capparelli and Rocio de los Santos.In each of their tangos, tension gave way to voluptuous softness and powerful overhead lifts melted onto the floor in silken extensions. As the title goes, they were on fire”. This couple will teach and perform at Viva Tango at Princeton this coming Thursday May 31st, 2018. This is an event you will be thrilled by.
