This week, learn how to feel comfortable and make a good impression dancing close embrace. Michael Nadtochi will be teaching the three must have patterns for close embrace.

Michael Nadtochi has been a professional dancer for more than two decades. His vast dance experience consists of performing, competing, choreographing and educating dancers and professionals all over the world.  For the past 14 years Michael focused entirely on performing and teaching the art of Argentine Tango. He has traveled the world, took part in major international tango festivals where he taught and performed at some of the most spectacular venues. Germany, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Cyprus, Malaysia, Canada, Scotland are among the countries that he visited as special guests and performing artist. He has taught and performed in the major tango festivals in the USA, and he has been one of the dancers at Malbec & Tango House NYC –  the first authentic nightly Argentine Tango show produced in USA.

Pablo, who is originally from the suburbs of Buenos Aires, has studied tango with various master teachers in his home country and in the United States. Iwonaexplored a few other forms of dance before taking up tango, which she has studied in depth and practiced locally. Pablo and Iwona teach the Argentine tango classes at Princeton Adult School and they teach regularly at Viva Tango in Princeton, where they are artists in residence.

Special, Semi-Private, Partners-Only Advanced Series

Pablo and Iwona are offering a special learning opportunity on advanced sequences and musicality. This is a series of four semi-private, partners-only sessions, focusing on high level movements and musical interpretations. The series will start Thursday, May 17 and will take place at Suzanne Patterson Center from 6:45 to 8 pm. The class is limited to six couples, and the cost is $80 per person.  Roaring 20’s Dance will be held May 5th, at the Suzanne Paterson Building. Great fun to come in 20’s dress and have a great time.

 MAURIZIO is coming from NYC and wants to see all of you dancing. 

Maurizio Najt: Piano, is a graduate of the Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Buenos Aires.  He performed with “Amigos del Tango”; Forever Tango Orchestra; Lincoln Center Plaza, Alice Tully Hall, Winter Garden, and the Argentine Embassy in Washington DC and Toyko.

 

 

Kerry Kay: Just returned from Austrilia will DJ this Milonga. She will be spinning your favorite tandas and inserting her collection of cortinas.

We return to our 8 PM start time this week. Come celebrate the extended dancing and socializing time. Milonga music is happy, fast moving music. Footwork for dancing to this music is quick and joyful. There is a feeling of freedom and celebration. Once in a Blue Moon there are 5 Thursdays in a month. So we celebrate this Thursday with special live music at our Blue Moon Milonga

Nick Franco, became enamored with the passion of tango music during his graduate school days at the University of Miami in FLA.  There, he lived in an apartment next to “Portenos”, a couple from Buenos Aires, who played tango tapes whenever they were home. Nick has performed as a soloist and in five to fifteen piece orchestras at private homes and clubs, at public venues, and on cruise ships throughout New England, from Palm Beach to Miami Beach, Fla, in the Baltimore/ Washington, DC area  and in Pennsylvania.
