Eleonora Kalganova developed her own unmistakable style of dancing and pedagogy built on years of study and experience, combined with intelligence, passion, and professional dedication. Breaking from rigidity of steps and memorization, Eleonora encourages students to develop improvisational skills through simple and dynamic techniques, achieve relaxed style, and find new and liberating ways of relating, expressing, and communicating non-verbally with others. A generous and sensitive teacher, Eleonora finds the special “keys” in every student.

Javier Sanchez – Bandoneón, has toured the world with Orquesta Típica, Tango Pasión, Tango Viaje al Sentimiento, Pedro Chemes Group, and Tango Emotión. He has performed in Buenos Aires tango shows  at Café Tortoni, Chiquin Buenos Aires, Pigmalión Tango, Piazzolla Tango. Javier has numerous recordings.    

Maurizio Najt, Piano, is a graduate of the Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Buenos Aires. He performed with “Amigos del Tango”; Forever Tango Orchestra; New York Tango Trio and other groups. Maurizio has performed in Lincoln Center Alice Tully Hall, Winter Garden, Philadelphia Kimmel Center, and the Argentine Embassy in Washington

Sergio Reyes – Violin, has performed in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, MoMA, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. He has shared the stage with internationally renowned artists who worked with tango master Astor Piazzolla, such as Pablo Ziegler (piano), Héctor Del Curto Raúl Jaurena and Daniel Binelli amongst others.

Pablo Lanouguere – Bass Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he is an active musician and composer. He plays the Double Bass, learning from the masters in Buenos Aires. He lives now in New York City, and has played at some of the most important venues in NYC, such as Carnegie Hall, Zinc Bar, Bryant Park (music festival), SOB’S, Rockwood Music Hall, among others, and he has also toured the USA.

DimOn will play a mix of our favorite very danceable tango music, including an enjoyable variety of styles and tango epochs, from Viejo to Nuevo

VivaTango Sunday Brunch Milonga

It is with great pleasure that VivaTango announces the start of Sunday Good Time Milonga at the same wonderful dance floor of VivaTango’s Thursday Milongas (45 Stockton, Princeton). Brunch, music by popular DJs and dance hosts will be provided for your pleasure. Brunch will feature a healthy menu with homemade dishes. The Good Time Milonga will occur on every 4th Sunday from 11 to 3pm.,We hope to see you and all your VivaTango friends at this new event. Kerry Kay will DJ this Sunday

Thursday June 20th 8pm-11:45pm  

 

This week Iwona and Pablo will teach a short lesson on “Gliding Planeos for Leaders and Followers”. A milonga will follow the lesson.

Pablo, who is originally from the suburbs of Buenos Aires, has studied tango with various master teachers in his home country and in the United States.

Iwona explored a few other forms of dance before taking up tango, which she has studied in depth and practiced locally. Pablo and Iwona teach the Argentine tango classes at Princeton Adult School and they teach regularly at Viva Tango in Princeton, where they are artists in residence.

Sunday Brunch Milongas every 4th Sunday 11 to 3 in Princeton

Michael Nadtochi has been a professional dancer for more than two decades. His vast dance experience consists of performing, competing, choreographing and educating dancers and professionals all over the world.  For the past 14 years Michael focused entirely on performing and teaching the art of Argentine Tango. He has traveled the world, took part in major international tango festivals where he taught and performed at some of the most spectacular venues. Germany, Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Cyprus, Malaysia, Canada, Scotland are among the countries that he visited as special guests and performing artist. He has taught and performed in the major tango festivals in the USA, and he has been one of the dancers at Malbec & Tango House NYC –  the first authentic nightly Argentine Tango show produced in USA.

New  6-week series of intermediate classes will start Thursday, May 23. Iwona and Pablo will center the course around musicality, and they will be working on the key elements that will advance your dance and make you a more confident and skilled dancer.

Place: Suzanne Paterson Center.

Fee: $120 per person

Y’amour has been the main female teacher and a dance partner of the founder at one of the oldest and most established Tango schools in Europe. She currently lives in Germany and co-organizies festivals & milongas as well as building a brand new Tango studio in Stuttgart region. In the last 4 years she has become a core teacher in the South of Germany and regularly gives seminars & female technique workshops, and is an inspiration for the ladies. Y’amour has performed live with different Tango orchestras including neotango groups such as Tanghetto and Narcotango. Her movements are free, light and graceful.

Lesson: Gliding Planeos

DimOn will DJ the milonga with great tandas for dancing.  Iwona and Pablo will provide a guided practica session on the side floor during the milonga for dancers wanting some additional help in mastering the lesson.
