WOW!! The live music C’est Pico Duo was an event to remember. I said to one of our experienced dancers that this performance could not be better and her reply was that Juan Villarreal and Patricio Crom, who will be here this Thursday will be better. So if you were here this past Thursday come back this Thursday and find out. If you were not here this past Thursday, don’t miss this Thursday. It will also be an event to remember. The Magic at VivaTango continues.
At VivaTango – You Will Dance!
ABRAZOS!

Thursday May 30th will feature live music by Juan Villarreal and Patricio Crom. Juan is a singer, guitarist and composer; and Patricio is an arranger, composer, and guitarist. They are one of the most recognized duos in the tango scene in Buenos Aires and the world. They have embarked on countless tours across Latin America, Europe, and North America. They have released 5 albums and were featured on the cover of “Tangodanza,” the world’s most widely circulated tango magazine. Juan and Patricio join you at VivaTango for your dancing pleasure. This milonga will be just like being present at a milonga in a club in Buenos Aires. As a bonus, this event will also include a chance to learn the Chacarera, which is a playful folk dance which is often performed as a break at milongas. Doors open at 7 PM with music by DJ Kerry Kay who has recently returned from DJing in Buenos Aires. Live music starts at 8:30 PM. $20 EVENT LINK

Thursday June 6th will feature Helen Wang and James Archambault. The milonga will follow the lesson. Helen is a popular Tango instructor and performer. She is the host of the Candle Light Milonga in Jersey City. All levels lesson starts at 7:00, Milonga at 8:15. Lesson $15, Milonga $15, Both $20

Thursday June 13th will feature a lesson by Pablo Garcia Gomez & Iwona Ionescu and a Milonga and a Milonga hosted by Svetlana Howells. Their lesson this week will explore and practice jumps for tango, vals, and milonga. Jumps are not very often included in workshops and lessons so don’t miss this class! After the lesson Pablo and Iwona will be available at the side of the dance floor to help any dancers wishing more help with the lesson. Svetlana Howells will DJ the milonga and play well composed tandas and cortinas for your dancing pleasure. Lesson at 7 PM, Milonga at 8:15. Lesson $15 Milonga $15, Both $20.

FREE EVENTS FOR VOLUNTEERS
VivaTango continues to need help to make events run smoothly. Setup only takes a little time and you do not miss any milonga time. The same is true about cleanup. Working on the welcome desk is a great way to get to know your fellow dancers. The hero of the night is the person who brings the food for the event. If you can help contactSylvie
WATER
We urge dancers to bring their water bottle from home to cut down on single use bottles. There is a chilled water fountain next to the bathroom to refill your water bottles with chilled water and a cold/hot water dispenser in the entry to help keep you hydrated.
